Founded by a Harvard trained environmentalist with years' of industrial hygiene experience, Dr. Joseph Lim is inspired by the work of indoor air quality expert Professor John Spengler and toxicologist Professor Wallace Hayes. Professor John Spengler of the Harvard School of Public Health is a co-researcher of the pioneering "Harvard Six Cities Study in the United States that associates "Soot Particles with Longer Lives" while Dr. Wallace Hayes a renowned researcher in the field of risk assessment toxicologist had immensely contributed on the role of air pollution towards deterioration of heart and lung.

By adopting similar approaches Joseph extended the research framework to specialize in indoor air quality assessments for residential homes, commercial as well as industrial buildings. Over the years he was involved in inspection, assessment and remediation based on the AIQC and the AIHA protocols. He possesses expertise in indoor environmental pollution and eco-hazard evaluation and life cycle assessment for environmental sustainability reporting. It was this impetus that draws the interest of filling the gaps in understanding air pollution issue in the context of ASEAN businesses and homes.
